I had a chance to visit Saltworks during the Westside Arts District Art Walk. The current exhibition is Flood of Pictures, including work by Katy Clove, Brian Dettmer, and Harrison Haynes. I was happy with what I found. Works are formed through found images, staged photos, encyclopedia pages cut, carved and recontextualized through collage and sculptural forms. The effect is a Flood of Pictures, at Saltworks Gallery through August 1, 2009.
